How I feel about spending an extra 5 months in Hawaii

My college announced last week that our first semester would be online. At first I was very sad, not surprised at all, but still sad. Then I started thinking about all the positives of the situation. First off I won’t have to pay for room and board, one of the bigger costs of my tuition. And one thing that I’m actually excited for is to be able to make up for all the time I missed out on spending with my friends at the end of senior year. Since we probably won’t have a completely normal summer, I’m going to keep my hopes up that in a few months we can start going out a lot more with friends. I’m still bummed that my freshman year of college is being pushed back but there’s still lots to look forward to.
