Book Talks Day 2

I feel like I prepared really well for my Book Talk but as always I was nervous. I really don’t know why because there was no one actually in front of me but I guess that’s just how it is for me when it comes to presentations. I hope that I caught at least someone’s attention about the book because I really did like it. It was also kind of hard to choose a passage because there were so many other passages that were just as emotional and well-worded as the one I chose.

Seobeen’s book sounds like it gives a really in-depth perspective of an Asian-American and their life experiences which seems pretty interesting. Although I’m not sure if I’d choose it because I don’t think it would be as relatable for me as it would be for others.

  1. Great job on your presentation today! I agree that Seobeen’s book seems to give an in-depth perspective of the Asian American experience. I would definitely want to read that book in the future, but I’ve already picked Shoe Dog for this quarter.

  2. You did a really good job on your presentation! I liked the passage you read to the class; it really drew the audience into the narrative. I also agree that Seobeen’s book seemed to give an in-depth perspective of an Asian American and their experiences. Much like you, I’m not sure if I would choose it though, because I don’t think it would be relatable.
